Its 3:00am on New Years Day and I'm writing this blog to prove to you all that I am infact completely sober. I know, how shocking. Of course, theres an excuse - I'm ill! ergh. Honestly, I haven't felt this rotten in a long long time. I'm definitely jinxed or I just have bad Karma. either way, its a bit shit.

So, I'm writing this post to wish you all a happy, healthy and merry 2011. that reminds me, I need to think of a new years resolution! (just for the record, the novelty of the 'new years resolution' usually wears off within a week or two) I'll think up one and pretend to keep it but secretly fail tragically at it like every year, or just forget I made it in the first place - thats generally what happens.

I'm never normally a festive person but the christmas spirit in the atmosphere today has been so infectious you can't help but love it.

I hate the fact that I'm so ill though :(, being woken up this morning must have looked and sounded like I was being dragged from my grave (poor mum!) honestly, I my voice sounded worse then my dads new Ipod dock before it had been tuned in. how festive.

I got some lovely presents of my family. my sister, bought me my Vogue subscription which is perfect considering every month when I go to buy vogue I moan about not having a subscription and surprise surprise after three years of collecting the magazine, i never could be bothered pay for it.

I got money, clothes, shoes, etc off the parents (santa) and lots of lovely trinkets and chrismassy things.

my nan cooked christmas lunch, some of my family got so drunk they fell off chairs and then back in to them and there was no shortage of alcohol to say the least.

honestly, its been such a good day! so excited for tomorrow now!

the best way to spread christmas cheer is singing load for all to hear.

Today hasn't really been productive, I've been busy at work spending my day stocking up perfumes like theres no tomorrow. oh, the joy. I hate the weather as well, its like that horrible after christmas weather. y'know when all the snow melts away and the rain kicks in and your just left with that horrible FREEZING wind smacking you against the face. I can't really moan though, I mean, this is Britain after all.

today has been awful, so much has gone wrong in such a short space of time. Literally, at every point of today something has gone wrong.

its times like these when I really just want to leave for university.

Today has been an eventful day aswell. I went to Liverpool with my photography class to look at a range of art galleries which was really good. But, whilst we were in Liverpool, we had the opportunity to go shopping in the town centre. well, I never knew Liverpool had so many good shops! literally I was amazed as I walked down the high street to find every store I could wish for in one place!

next weekend me and the girls have decided we're going for a shopping day there and then go out for tea later on, should be lovely (:

when will I learn?

I haven't blogged in a long time... oh dear.

I got a cheque from the tax office the other day which meant I had a hefty sum of money in my bank account. My initial idea was to save it for "future needs" but of course, true to form, it failed.

In record time I managed to spend the lot within three hours... typical. the money left the account faster then it went in.

I am useless at saving money full stop!

oh well, at least I got some lovely shoes out of it (:

my situation seems so relevant to my college work right now. we're studying passions and obsessions in photography and i've chosen to focus on...
