I wish I could sit and watch a horror film this Halloween with popcorn, wine and friends like Janice and Damion do on Mean Girls- but I carn't.
I'll explain all...
Since I was young i've ALWAYS had a fear of horror movies. actually, I seem to be afraid of most films that contain the smallest clip that could make a person jump or even twitch (the Lord Of The Rings for example). Oh, the worst one had to be Toy Story 3. I was sat in a cinema with 10 year olds and guess which one of us held their breath for dear life when Big Baby twisted its head? me, yes me. You know you've reached a low when children half your age are laughing at how childish your being.
I admit it, its pathetic. I'm nearly 18 years old and I still need a cushion to hide behind.
I tried to concur my fear a couple of years ago when I watched Scream at my friends house and as you can assume, the plan failed. I couldn't sleep for a week and the thought of going to the garage on my own and shutting the fridge door only to find Scream lurking behind with a knife seemed extremely likely.
You think i'm joking? trust me, i'm not.
I went to the cinemas a couple of weeks ago with my sister, who can I just point out happens to find horror films "hilarious" and not in the slightest bit scary. Basically, we went to watch this film called "The Last Exorcism", I have no idea what possessed me to go watch it, I really don't.
I sat in the cinema and cried, I literally cried. It. Was. Horrible.
I came out shaking like a leaf and as you can assume my sister left thinking the film and my reaction was "hilarious".
